The Key to Belonging series was a result from a comment my mother
had made towards the end of her life.  She was lamenting that with the
house sold, the car gone, lock boxes closed out that she didn't have a
key for anything anymore.

It made me think of how often we use our passwords and PIN codes to access things that only we can and how that privilege should not be taken lightly.

So, in this series of dolls a key has been sewn on to each one so could never lose their key and always have a sense of belonging.
During a night of insomnia I was staring at my hands and wondering what to do.....then it hit me...this hand could become a doll!

So, I traced my hand and created a series of "hand" themed dolls - handy man, farm hand, old hand, winning hand...you get the drift.

This was features bodacious tatas and a winsome face as the hand maiden.

Wanting to create more dolls that could be hung on the wall instead of just standing or sitting around I created a line called the "Serious Hangups"

This is one of my favorites and is called "the Kitchen Queen".  I used to pride myself that the dolls maintained their own grip on their props until she beaned me one day with the rolling pin.  Now it has been stitched into her hands to make sure that never happens again.

You just don't dare to turn your back on these guys!
